The first time you do something, it is messy, inefficient and likely to fail.
If you are watching the Olympic athletes, it is easy to think they were always like that.
The truth is that they probably looked just like you when they were learning to walk.
They toddled and they fell and they cried.
The difference happened after the basics were done.
They showed an aptitude for going beyond their peers.
And then they worked, and refined through structured practice.
They wanted the outcome enough to take feedback and failure.
Adjust and keep going.
Don’t compare your beginning with someone else’s mastery.
