A long time ago, I was taught a sales script. It was terrifying. I hated asking for the sale.
Now, I look forward to it. What changed?
- I’m not starving. If the person in front of me does not buy, I will be fine. (If that is not true for you, please find a steady day job.)
- I know the value of what I’m selling. For a solopreneur, getting business strategy and planning down can be life changing.
- I’m looking for a fit. If I’m not confident that my offer can provide double to ten times the price tag, I don’t want to sell to that person.
It’s easy when you only want to sell to people who want what you have.
