As a soloprenuer, how many people do you really need to serve in order to live a comfortable life?
For someone with an expensive skill set bringing in $40,000 per client per year, that number could be the key people in 4 small companies- maybe 12 people.
If your good or service averages $50 per transaction, you only need 2000 purchases to bring in $100,000. What you keep of that depends on your expenses, of course. However, please notice that 2000 purchases could easily mean 1000 people buying twice a year or some combination of one-time buyers and raving fans who buy once a month.
The point is, you are not sacrificing safety by choosing to serve a very specific group. And you may be making it easier for that 12, 1000, 2000 people to find you.
